The Story Behind Flower Bomb (Remix)

 

The inspiration behind my latest remix to Wale’s “Lotus Flower Bomb”

 

 

 

I most recently released a remix for the song Lotus Flower Bomb (Wale ft Miguel).  I thought the song was dope and I knew I wanted to do it from the first time I heard it.  However, I decided my approach would be different.  i  used a very close friend as inspiration.  Of course, respecting her privacy, she will remain nameless. Over time we became close and she opened up to me about her situation at home, how much she’s been through, and how hard of a time she was having with loving herself.  I wanted to make her feel like she didn’t have to do the things she would do to herself to get by . I wanted to make her feel loved. We go through things in life and sometimes we decide to give up because that’s the easy thing to do. Believing life is worth living is a choice. You have the right to disagree, but you also have the right to not let anyone  tell you that you aren’t beautiful and that you don’t deserve all the love and attention in the world. Be you, and believe.
